Prior to taking the classes with Ashley I was SUPER freaked out to give
birth, just thinking about doing it almost brought me to tears. I wanted
to have as much medication as possible and just get that day over with.
Luckily I have an amazing doctor who told me about Hypnobirthing and
challenged me to look into it. After doing some research My husband and I
decided to take the course. Ashley sent me my book and cd right away
and I dove right in, I read the entire book all before my class started
because I was so fascinated with the whole concept. We just finished up
with our classes and I never thought i would say this but Im actually
looking forward to my babies birth. The class really prepared and
educated us I feel in powered and ready for Labor. Ashley did such a
great job of teaching and making us all feel capable of having whatever
birth we wanted. I HIGHLY recommend taking this class its changed my
entire mind set on labor and has taken something that was a huge fear
and very negative to something that is beautiful and positive.

We love Care and San Diego Hypnobirthing! My husband and I enrolled in Care's classes and attended every one. Besides providing us with mountains of information and resources we would never had gotten otherwise, Care's instructional style is very engaging and effective. It's obvious that she loves what she does and she does it very very very well! After 5 weekly classes, my husband and I both consider Care a friend and a critical component in the peaceful birth of our son. We highly recommend her services, both as doula and as Hypnobirthing instructor.

This class was great! My partner and I learned so much about the birth but also our rights as parents of a newborn. Care is incredibly knowledgeable and not to mention hilarious. Her class was really insightful. I will definitely recommend Care's hypnobirthing class to all expectant mothers!

My husband and I loved this class!!! I am an anxious person by nature and wanted to find some techniques to help me have a calm and natural birth with my second child (attempting a VBAC). What I learned were techniques to help me have a more calm and natural life! Ashley was an amazing instructor and we met a lot of great couples in the process. I would recommend San Diego Hypnobirthing to anyone having a baby. There is a lot to be learned whether you are trying to achieve a natural birth or just avoid a c-section!

As a husband in the process I walked in with some trepidation about the course but walked out a convert.
The
methods taught were directly applicable to the birth - my wife was
relaxed and went into her labor with no fear, delivering a healthy baby
girl.
Side note - the instructor, Care, was the doula at our
birth - MAKE SURE you ask her about that. Having her on our team at the
hospital was a huge positive. During the birth you can tell this is a
person that is in her element - she runs the show and made it as stress
free as I imagine it could be.
Can't say enough good things about
the entire process - make sure to tap into Care's extensive network too
for post-partom doula's, child care, physicians, etc. Zach L. San Diego
Ashley was an awesome teacher......we are glad we took this class. We have so many helpful tools in our belt for our natural water birth in August. We took this class to find ways to relax and let our body to what's it suppose to do naturally....go V-mix 8-)

My husband and I learned so much in our classes. We walked in as a pregnant couple but left as parents. The course really helped us to open up to each other about our fears. More importantly it gave us a chance to reassure each other that we are a team and in this together. I left every class overwhelmed with new knowledge but every ounce of it made perfect sense to me. I am not afraid of giving birth anymore. I highly recommend Care and Ashley. They are incredible people that honestly want you to have the best experience for you. They do not try to push ideas down your throat. They provide you with the tools and knowledge and it is up to you to make the decision that is best for you, your baby and your family. Care is AMAZING! She has become someone I fully trust and know loves
and cares deeply for my baby. This is someone who is passionate about
what she does and truly cares about the process and her students. I
feel blessed to have had her as my hypnobirthing instructor.
I
fully believe a natural and peaceful birth is possible and the
techniques and instruction I received reinforced this for me. I know I
would not be able to have the experience with my precious baby had I not
taken this course and had Care as the instructor. .

This class is so eye opening and informative! Care is great at making the information fun and easy to grasp. Hypnobirthing is a great way to look at the normalcy of birth. After taking the class with Care my fears about birthing are gone. Education is the key! I highly recommend Care's class to ALL birthing couples!

her "moms" and does everything she can to make sure they get the birth

"So wait, you are going to be hypnotized?". That is the main question everyone used me when I said I was going to give birth using the HypnoBirthing method. I was pregnant with my second child and wanted to experience childbirth in a completely different manner than with my first. I had researched the Mongan Method and immediately went to Borders and bought the book. After a few pages, I was sold. I just had to get my husband on board and hopefully find classes locally. I was lucky enough to stumble upon San Diego Hypnobirthing's website. After poking around, I gave a call to ask questions. Care was patient and answered all of my questions without making me feel like I was an idiot. I decided that I wanted her as our doula (not that I didn't trust in my husband's abilities) and we attended her Saturday classes. Her classes are fun and informative. Care and I kept in contact frequently toward the end of my pregnancy and I can't begin to say how thankful we were to have her during labor and delivery. I honestly don't know if I would have been able to have the beautiful and drug-free birth that we had without her love, care and guidance. Care shares all of her knowledge and also her resources from breastfeeding support to acupuncture. Care will always be so special to us and we consider her family. Tina Y., San Diego

Love, love, love Care Messer! Her class is a blast. Care is one of the most compassionate, kind, and caring women I know. She takes a special interest in all of her students and is just a joy to work with. If you are pregnant and want to take a childbirth class that will truly prepare you and get you excited for the birthing process, then this is the class to take!

Care Messer is an AMAZING Hypnobirthing instructor. In these classes I really learned how to relax and trust that my body is capable of having a peaceful and harmonious birth. Care explained exactly what I should expect my body to do during birth and provided a lot of information to back it up. I feel confident because this has given me the knowledge and understanding which will allow me to trust my body and baby, instead of the fear of others. I also learned many extra techniques to help ensure my hospital experience will be as peaceful as possible, which will allow me to have a calm and relaxing birth.
